I had my first design printed onto fabric this week. It is for a dress for the womenswear brand called Vannessa Tong Timeless. woo hoo.. very exciting. Unfortunately I was briefed on this particular design so I wasn't really able to go crazy, however I have been designing a few prints, which will be printed on to fabric and turned into something quite soon. They are very bright, with geometric shapes. Will post them soon. :)

This Zine is a little old, but I stumbled across it on my desktop. Sarah researched and wrote lots of good information and I put it together. Sarah has moved on now, working at Wordstorm PR. Last weekend I was surprised by Ben, I was taken on an amazing 2 day adventure. We stayed in a fancy hotel, the Shangri-la, with the most amazing views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. We were definitely living the high life that weekend. We had delicious cocktails at Blu Bar and champagne in the room, and got to wear those awesome bathrobes (Bens highlight). The next day we went to the zoo and saw little tiger cubs! Thanks Ben for the fun weekend :)

DIY - Christmas Decorations

This year was the first year I set up my own tree. So Ben and I wanted to make some christmas decorations. We decided to go for a beach themed tree, as we live really close to the beach. Here are just a few decorations I made. There were absolutely no glass clear baubles anywhere, and after spending a whole day asking shops whether they had any, I came across these little bottles at hot dollar! Which are cool because they remind me of the boat in a bottle.
In the bottle decorations I have put sand, shells, and some coral type thing I found. We also found fish bones, which you can see on my hanging decorations. My Christmas tree is a little dodgy, the leaves are pretty thin and you can see right through it :s Ill get a new one next year, but so far Im pretty happy with how it has turned out!

Here are some photos I took for a project of mine. I called it 'flower child', because that's what I was called when I wore the colourful crochet top one night and also Im so tired I cant really think. The idea was an aztec free-spirit theme. There are over 500 photos and I've been looking at them all night, but I really wanted to put a few up, so here are just a couple of my favorites. I will put up some more soon. :)

Thanks for the legs Di, Sarah and Laura; the girls from work helped me out with this illustration. I used watercolour and felt tip pen. The photos were taken from an ActionSampler camera.It turns out doing an assignment while drinking strawberry and lime cider may not be the best idea. Everyone agreed that painting a cat on your face was pretty cool towards the end of the night!!
I also wanted to say a big goodbye to Sarah, who will be leaving work at the end of the week. :(
